Not all jackets are created equal. The lined Lee 101-LJ Cowboy Jacket was undoubtedly a cut above the rest when it was originally introduced back in 1949. Worn by cowboys in the rodeo circuit, the original 101-J featured a slanted yoke, zig-zag top-stitching along the center front placket, twin flap chest pockets with a button closure, a corduroy collar, and an adjustable waistband. Its offshoot, the 101-LJ, came with the added benefit of a blanket lining and later became known as the Storm Rider jacket that's still just as revered as it was back then.
This new rendition of the 101 Storm Rider jacket combines all those historical characteristics with a smart cut and contemporary feel. It's carefully crafted using 13 oz. '70s slub left-hand selvedge denim from Kurabo Mills. It also comes with an archival corduroy collar and a striped blanket lining. Plus, it's partly made of recycled cotton and it features a beautiful blue-line edge. Whenever you put it on, it becomes a part of you. You'll tell your own story through the glorious fades and features that come with a well-lived life wearing a well-loved jacket.
